What's Happening at St. Paul's?
Summer schedule begins Sunday, May 27, 2018: Service times during the summer will be 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 10:45 a.m. Kids’ Club will open at 8:45 a.m. until 12:00 noon, except on Confirmation Sunday, June 17. (See below.)
Confirmation Sunday, June 17, 2018. Service times for the Bishop’s visit will revert to 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 11:15 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Anne Elliott Hodges-Copple, Bishop Suffragan of North Carolina, will join us to confirm and receive new members.
Presiding Bishop Michael Curry preached on the power of love at the wedding of Prince Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, and American actress Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19. The Welcoming in Christ Anniversary Campaign reflects the desire of our active, caring, and diverse congregation to continue to grow together in faith and ministry and to make Christ known in the Cary community and beyond.
Welcoming in Christ is a discipleship-stewardship emphasis linking St. Paul’s 60th Anniversary and The Anniversary Capital Campaign. Appalachia Service Project (ASP) brings thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families. Their mission is to make homes “Warmer, Safer, and Drier.” St. Paul’s is once again going with a team of youth and adults. This year we will go June 24-30, 2018 to a location in Tennessee. St. Paul’s Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) is preparing two fall sessions: one for “Baby Moms” (infants through 5th graders) and one for “TNT Moms” (teens and tweens). On the third Sunday of each month, at 10:15 AM, there will be an “Introduction to St. Paul’s.” If you are new to St. Paul’s and would like to know more about our community, join a member of the clergy at the baptismal font, just inside the main entryway to the church. We will take a brief tour of the church grounds and have time for questions and conversation.
