The Women’s Study Group will meet Tuesday, February 14 from 12:00-1:30 PM in the Bride’s Room to discuss The Secret Chord: a novel by Geraldine Brooks. This is a novelization of King David’s life. Amazon Books writes, “Peeling away the myth to bring David to life in Second Iron Age Israel, Brooks traces the arc of his journey from obscurity to fame, from shepherd to soldier, from hero to traitor, from beloved king to murderous despot and into his remorseful and diminished dotage.” This will be a very interesting book to discuss so we hope you will join us.
Then on March 14 we will meet to discuss Convictions: How I Learned What Matters Most by Marcus Borg – our January book that got snowed and iced out. Mark your calendars!
Join us for our discussions – even if you haven’t finished the book! For questions, contact Leah Dail at LeahDail@gmail.com.
