Post-Lobster-Fest Sale (Oct 2, 2016)

Unsold lobsters and lobster roll meals will be on sale on Sunday, Oct 2, in the tent in front of the Parish Hall.  This is a big OPPORTUNITY!

If you were a Volunteer, we can’t begin to tell you what an incredible job you did! The Efficiency, Graciousness, Kindness, Dedication that you showed was rewarded by the countless “more than complimentary” comments we continued to receive about the job you were doing / did. We absolutely accomplished what we set out to do, and even if we weren’t to make a profit (and we did), it would have been successful.

The OPPORTUNITY:

As amazing a job as the Volunteers did, the buyer (and I will remain anonymous) did not do as well, and over-purchased. His mistake (over-optimism?) is your OPPORTUNITY, and request for help.

SUNDAY SALE: We have Cooked / chilled Whole Lobster (head on, chilled and ready to take home), and Lobster Roll Meals, available Sunday. For the cooked lobster, you could eat on Sunday, take the meat and freeze it, freeze the whole lobster for later use (salad, lobster roll, The Bishop Curry’s Lobster Bisque, etc.). Bottom line, while it is chilled, we need to sell it on Sunday.

If you missed Lobster Fest due to games, other commitments, weren’t sure, or are a faithful volunteer, we need your help. We’ll have volunteers working outside under the tent in front of the Parish Hall to take your orders, and more of those incredible volunteers inside to help you. These 1½ lb. lobsters were $21 cooked, now your OPPORTUNITY at $17.

Lobster Roll Meals include a La Farm Bakery brioche roll, 1/4 lb. lobster meat mixture in a separate container (a challenge to put that much lobster mixture into a bun), slaw, chips and a brownie. A bargain at the regular price of $15, but you can take advantage of the buyer’s error and on Sunday acquire for $13, and enjoy for either Sunday Brunch or Sunday Supper.

Please help to support Lobster Fest, and enjoy great Lobster!
