Bulletin Announcements for Sunday, Mar 25, 2018

NOTE: ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED ON EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 1

SENIOR LUNCHEON CANCELED MARCH 25: We hope to reschedule for a later date.

RESCHEDULED DATE FOR WAKE COUNTY SPONSORS DUE TO WEATHER: Have you volunteered at a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter?  What if we also worked on policies that could end hunger and homelessness?  What if people of different faiths found common ground working on issues that affect the entire community?  Clergy and lay leaders have been meeting for the past year to discern how to form a broad-based, non-partisan organization to address issues that benefit everyone in Wake County. Informational meetings are coming up.  Spend a couple hours learning and sharing time with faith-filled individuals who are motivated to find common ground and new ways to collaborate.

►Monday, April 9, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Cary First Christian Church (1109 Evans Road)

Contact Katie Bricio at katiebricio13@gmail.com f you are interested in attending. All are welcome!

60TH ANNIVERSARY:  This year marks St. Paul’s 60th anniversary!  Throughout the next six months, we will reflect on our past 60 years and celebrate what is still to come.  We are hoping to publish a new pictorial directory as well as put together a timeline of memorable events for the church and its members.  We will also be highlighting many wonderful parishioners and ministries of St. Paul’s and cap it all off with an anniversary party in September.  There will be monthly devotionals and reflections to commemorate our rich history and time together. This month we will remember our members, past and present: if you have any special memoires to share about St. Paul’s parishioners, please contact Sherri Hubbard at sherri.hubbard@ncdoi.gov.

NEWCOMER MINISTRY will host a Newcomer Gathering on Sunday, April 22, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Curry Center.  We’ll have a simple supper and time to get to know each other. If you have visited St. Paul’s recently and would like to chat with the clergy, some ministry leaders, or other new folks like yourself, please come!  It will be casual and friendly. The Curry Center is located at the north end of the parking lot. Follow the side walk through the wooded area to the Curry Center. Please RSVP to at annewlaney@gmail.com by April 16 and let us know if you can or cannot attend.  We hope to see you on April 22!

MONTHLY DEVOTIONALS: Welcoming in Christ is a discipleship-stewardship emphasis linking St. Paul’s 60th Anniversary and The Anniversary Capital Campaign. To supplement this, each month a special devotional centered on a particular theme will be offered. The theme for March is “Remembering and Highlighting St. Paul’s Members: Past, Present, and Future.” You can find these devotionals on our St. Paul’s website (www.stpaulscary.org). If you’d like to share your thoughts on a theme, you may email them to Reflections@stpaulscary.org.
