Are there ways we can improve our communications practices at St. Paul's? How can we be clearer and more inclusive in our message of welcome? Are we using our resources to their fullest potential, but are we also sure that we continue to reach everyone in our community? These are questions that we'd like you to help answer by filling out the St. Paul's Communications Survey. It won't take more than five minutes of your time.

Ministry Fair (Oct 17)
Ministry Fair, Sunday, October 17 after the 9:00 AM service in the Parish Hall. In advance of the fair, a pamphlet will be sent to you listing the ministries with a brief description of each. This will help you become familiar with all that is available here at St. Paul’s before you arrive at the fair. You will be amazed with the number and variety of ways to give of your time and talents.
Also, there will be a Ministry Leaders’ Pot Luck Luncheon on Sunday, October 3 after the 11:15 AM service in the Youth Wing. The meeting will cover what each ministry will be responsible for in setting up for the fair. We will also cover many aspects of being a ministry leader and the resources available to you. More information is to follow about both events.
The Ministry Fair is an opportunity for all of St. Paul’s members, recent and long time alike, to discover new ways to pledge time and talent to a variety of ministries.
Just as a reminder we are still looking for team members and participants for Cursillo 101 to be held Oct 14-17, 2010 at Camp Walter Johnson. I hope you will prayerfully consider it. Want to know more about Camp Walter Johnson: www.campwj.com.
The next Raleigh area Ultreya will be at Christ Church, Raleigh Sunday, Sep 12 at 6:00 PM. Please come and consider bringing friends that you would like to sponsor for Cursillo. Applications and Forms are available at: www.nccursillo.org/forms.php

Lobster Fest (Oct 9)
Lobster Fest Saturday, October 9, 2010
One less Saturday to worry about menu planning; just choose from live or cooked one-and-a-half-pound Maine lobsters, the already famous Quarta Pounda Lobsta Roll on a La Farm Bakery grilled brioche bun, or complete lobster and chicken dinners. Dine in at the St. Paul’s Lobsta Shack from 11:00 – 2:00, or take home your selections up until 4:00 PM, or grab a Lobsta Roll for lunch while you’re picking up your live lobsters to cook with friends that evening.
Lobster Fest tickets will be available four Sundays beginning September 12 for St. Paul’s parishioners to pick up for themselves and to take to neighbors and friends (pay if you are sure, no-charge consignment if you are not). And, for the first time, friends that you are not able to reach directly with tickets can ORDER ON-LINE (this feature to be activated shortly) at www.LobsterFestCary.com (we pay a small fee so we ask that parishioners buy theirs at church, if convenient). A sample e-mail will be available that you might wish to use to send the www.LobsterFestCary.com link to lots of friends – could it be any easier?!!
Lobster Fest is a Parish-Wide Activity and Fundraiser (Outreach, Youth, St. Paul’s Projects), sponsored by the Men’s Group, but ALL ARE WELCOME (and encouraged) to both assist with the Event, and participate in the enjoyment! We need volunteers for a wide range of tasks leading up to the Fest, plus many volunteers that day. A Volunteer sign-up poster is located in the Narthex. Please consider working for a few hours helping to distribute tickets, checking people in at the Fest, cooking lobsters and having fun! For more information on how you can become involved, please contact Jeff Kager, Junior Warden at
