What? Stewardship 2011 already? Say it ain't so! Yes, it is so. Because of a struggling economy and challenging times for many of us, we have decided to improve our stewardship process by starting our planning efforts much earlier.
A handfull of parishioners have now met three times to start the planning process for next year's stewardship campaign. We have already developed timelines and theme options that will be shared in upcoming communications. One key step in this process is to expand our committee to include a wider range of current parishioners.
Here's where you can help. We are forming five subcommittees as an extension of the stewardship committee. The goal with these subcommittees is to break down the many roles and activities that stewardship is responsible for into smaller "skill-focused" areas. In other words, stewardship is about more than calling on fellow parishioners.
We'd like you to consider whether you have the skills and interest to assist any of the subcommittees identified below. If you do, please contact the subcommittee chair listed or Rick Bradley to express an interest. Since we have goals to achieve in the month of September, please respond as soon as possible.
Communications/Marketing Subcommittee, Mike Gorman chair
This committee will further develop the stewardship theme and work to communicate more frequently to the parish. Your marketing and communications skills are needed.
Data Subcommittee, Mike Concini chair
This committee will work with our current database system DBA and look for ways to create a stewardship friendly tool for years to come. Your database and technology skills are needed.
Ministry Liaison Subcommitee, Ricky Barker chair
This committee will work closely with ministry leaders and committees to better connect their efforts to stewardship. Our stewardship program hopes to connect people together through relationships developed through ministry and other committee involvement. Your networking and communication skills are needed.
Research Subcommittee, Ann Lockhart chair
This committee will utilize survey, focus group, and other initiatives to better understand why our parishioners do or do not pledge financially to St. Paul's. Your research, data collection and analysis skills are needed.
Event Planning/Training Subcommittee, insert your name here chair
This committee will primarily organize the caller training program that is currently planned for October. Your event planning and organizational skills are needed.
