Worship
Worship services
St. Paul's Episcopal Church offers a variety of worship experiences:
Sunday Morning at 7:30
Celebration of the Holy Eucharist Rite I
This services does not have music and uses the more traditional prayers found in the Rite I service. As a result the service is a little bit shorter, quieter, and thus a more contemplative experience.
Sunday Morning at 9
Our 9 AM Sunday Worship service has taken on a family flavor. Children often help with the readings and Prayers of the People, and music is generally contemporary. Children from preschool through 5th grade are welcome to process from the service for Children's Chapel, returning in time for Communion.
Sunday Morning at 11:15
Holy Eucharist Rite II - The "late" service has a more traditional flavor, with organ music often accompanied by an offering from one of our 9 choirs - whether it is handbells or children/youth/adult. Children's Chapel is also offered for this service.
In summer months, this service is held at 10:45 AM.
Baptisms at St. Paul's
In order to help you prepare for the sacrament of baptisms for your child, please know that you are required to attend Baptism Instruction class. The class is offered the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Bride's Room of the Church Building. When you begin to think about baptism for yourself or your child, please follow these steps: first call and speak with our Office Manager who will check the church calendar and help you determine the date for your baptism. At this time you will be mailed a baptism form. Second, make sure that you have given yourself enough time to attend the Wednesday night class. Finally, please fill out and return the form for baptism. This will enable us to prepare the appropriate certificates for the baptized and the godparents. It is appropriate for the godparent(s) to be baptized Christian(s). You may choose any number of godparents and they are not required to be present at the service to fulfill this role in your child's life. If you have further questions about this process, please speak to one of the priests or to our Office Manager.
