Family Promise Week (Feb 12-19, 2017)

Volunteers needed!  Our first Family Promise (formerly Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network) week of the year is Sunday February 12 through 19, 2017. Family Promise helps families without homes achieve independence by providing temporary housing, lodging, meals, case management, and educational services. St. Paul’s serves as a host congregation, providing meals, supplies, and volunteer support to families temporarily residing at White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary several times each year. We currently need these volunteers:

  • Social Hosting (Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat) involves watching and playing with around 4-6 kids between 6:30 and 8:30 PM.
  • Overnight Hosts (Sun-Sat) from 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM.

Family Promise is a wonderful “hands-on” outreach opportunity, both for adults and for families, to serve the homeless.  Contact Kathleen Neff (kathleen@trioptimum.com) or Myrna Belingon (tmb.jersey@gmail.com).
