The GoDo Ministry will hold a workday on Saturday, October 22, 2016. We will be working with Family Promise of Wake County (formerly Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network). Along with rotating shelters in local churches, Family Promise offers apartment-type living for families as the next step toward more stable, permanent housing.
We would be doing things like installing baseboards and shoe molding, filling in nail holes, caulking seams, and moving and cleaning furniture at their apartment building on Method Road in Raleigh. We would need about 10 volunteers for this job. Depending on the number of people, we would be working together from around 9am-5pm, but even smaller donations of time would be appreciated.
