Youth News (Jan 14, 2018)

We are coming up on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, when we mark his birthday. According to Wikipedia, “The national Martin Luther King Day of Service was started by former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Harris Wofford and Atlanta Congressman John Lewis, who co-authored the King Holiday and Service Act. The federal legislation challenges Americans to transform the King Holiday into a day of citizen action volunteer service in honor of King and was signed into law by President Clinton 1994.” I invite all youth to come join in a morning of service with the youth of St. John’s Episcopal in Wake Forest on Monday. The details are below. I know it means an early morning, but it will be fun and rewarding!

Check out the list of events below. We’ve got lot of awesome things coming up.
