Youth News (week of Sep 10, 2017)

Welcome one another, therefore,
just as Christ has welcomed you,
for the glory of God.
Romans 15:7

It finally here! Kickoff Sunday is this weekend – both Christian Formation (Church School) and EYC start up again. It’s an exciting time of the year, getting back together to see old friends and welcome new folks. Come Sunday to see what we’re all about and see where you can plug into the Ministry. We have lots of opportunities for fun and faith and we want YOU to be with us.

Here are Sunday’s details:

Christian Formation: Classes meet in the same locations: Middle School meets in the Youth Wing (go straight there, snacks are provided) and High School meets in Room 10. The Education Hour is from 10:15-11 am. We will be using the Episcopal Curriculum for Youth again this year. Church School teachers – there is a Commissioning of Teachers at the 9:00 service. I hope you can come for that. Here’s what you need to do for church school:

Show up! That’s it.

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) Sundae Kickoff: Come join us for some zany fun, pizza and ice cream sundaes. You can catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. Don’t forget to dress to play games! Pleases bring a donation of canned food items for Urban Ministries. This is what you need to do for EYC:

Parents, there will be a brief orientation/welcome meeting from 5-5:30 pm at EYC Sunday. Please have at least one parent from each family attend. I’ll give an overview of our programming, go over the calendar, expectations, general info, and try and answer your questions. We’ll meet in the church.

Other signups and links are on the Youth page of the St. Paul’s website: https://stpaulscary.org/ministries/youth/.

I ‘m looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
