Our Indigenous Siblings: Adult Formation Evening Offering Starting in October

Our Indigenous Siblings — Wednesday Evening Formation

The Racial Justice Planning Group and Adult Formation are partnering in the coming weeks to provide Wednesday evening formation opportunities sharing the stories of our indigenous siblings.

All offerings will take place at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Please sign up in advance so that we can send you the link and provide you with any materials you might need in advance. You can pre-register for any of the offerings that interest you; you do not have to attend all of them.

Our schedule is:

October 13: Movie Night – “Gather” (please watch in advance)

October 20-27: Discussion of “The Night Watchman” (please read in advance)

November 3: Bobbie Jacobs-Ghaffar will speak. She is founder and CEO of Native Angels Home Care, Inc. based in Robeson County where she is active in the community. Jacobs-Ghaffar was one of the original members of the committee that developed the National Museum of the American Indian.

November 10: Ana Pardo will present on advocacy. Pardo is co-director of the Workers’ Rights Project at the North Carolina Justice Center based in Raleigh.
