Sunday Morning Adult Formation this Fall (10:15-11:00 AM in the Chapel)

What Does It Mean to be Episcopalian?
Christians are a peculiar people: at once rooted in tradition, and yet just as often expanding over many histories — a movement that has taken root within many languages, peoples, and cultures.  What exactly makes us “Christian?” How does that fit into what it means for us to be “Episcopalian?”

This Sunday, October 22, the Rev. Carr Holland III will discuss The Daily Office and Benedictine Spirituality.  On Oct 29, the Rev. George Adamik will lead a class on Baptism and Eucharist.  Throughout, we’ll reflect on the impacts of our practice of the Christian faith on everyday life.

Wednesday Evening Adult Formation (6:00-7:00 PM in the Youth Wing)

Oct 25 & Nov 1: Living the Way of Jesus
Join long time parishioners Gerri Batchelor and Joe Ryan as we make our way through the Sermon on the Mount: an amazingly thorough distillation of Jesus’ teachings.  In this five‐part program, the Most Rev. Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, and others reflect on the Sermon on the Mount in light of their own faith journeys.  Gerri is a dedicated member of the Adult Formation, Kairos, and Senior ministries; Joe is a member of Adult Formation and has helped to collect thousands of pounds of food via the Little Red Wagon.

On Wednesdays, November 8 and 15, the Rev. Javier Almendárez Bautista will present “Tracts for Our Times”
