Sign Up for MLK Weekend Movie, Dinner and Discussion

Please sign up here for a special Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend offering of “Traces of the Trade” followed by dinner and discussion on Sunday, January 15, 2023 beginning at 4 p.m.

“Traces of the Trade” is a documentary that tells one New England family’s story as they uncover their ties to the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. It also narrates the significant role that the Episcopal Church played in slavery in the United States.

We’ll watch the movie together in the sanctuary and then re-gather in the parish hall for a facilitated conversation over dinner. Our meal will be catered by Ragheid Alchaar, a chef who came to the U.S. as a refugee and whose delicious food is becoming a regular part of St. Paul’s activities.

This event is free and open to the parish with donations accepted but not required to offset the cost of food. Offered by the Racial Justice Planning Group.
