Men’s Beach Week Canceled for 2021

Men’s Group:

Well, it’s time to talk about the beach.

Our trips are usually pre-booked a year in advance.  Before we leave the island in any given year, we reserve our week for the coming year.  Come November or so, we commit to those pre-bookings, we sign rental agreement contracts and we begin our course of payments.

Well it’s only (already?) Fall 2020, and here we are needing to make Spring ’21 decisions.  While we don’t know what the new year will bring, it’s reasonable to think that things may not be entirely peachy keen by the last full week of April.

As much as I treasure this event for so many reasons, I think we all know what the right move is.

In consideration of the agencies we deal with (who are now asking), the funds we put at risk, the uncertainty of the situation, and the health and safety of our beachgoers, we need to let go of our pre-booking for 2021.

Sadly, St Paul’s Men’s Group will not be going forward with Men’s Beach Week 2021.

We will look forward to resuming our tradition in the spring of 2022.

Please be well, and stay well…

…Mike McInerney
