The Endowment Board is delighted to make two announcements: grants have been awarded for the 2020 endowment funds; and 2021 endowment funds are now available!
Sunday, March 21, 2021 is Hermano Day (Farmworker Day). This year has presented many challenges to the farmworker community. We Paul’s can continue to support this vital work. You can help in these efforts by making a monetary donation to the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry or bring donation items to the St. Paul’s parking lot on Saturday, March 13 or Saturday, March 20 between 10:00 and 12:00 noon. The Women’s Study Group will continue meeting on each second Tuesday at Noon via Zoom during the first part 2021. They usually alternate between fiction and non-fiction and read a wide variety of books of interest to women.
The Western Region Food Security Group (the large group of area churches we are working with) has received extra funding from Wake County. With that extra funding we have purchased large supplies of dry goods and boxes which are being stored at The Kirk of Kildaire.
There are new volunteer opportunities.
Cary congregations participating in the Cary Area Ministerial Alliance (CAMA) will co-host the interfaith prayer service that is part of the Town of Cary’s “Dreamfest” during the weekend of MLK Day. Set for Sunday, January 17, at 3:30 pm, the service will originate from Christ the King Lutheran Church and will be live streamed on the church’s YouTube channel.
We are so excited to announce St. Nicholas Day brought in over $20,000! With that we will be able to give 273 gift certificates to Families Together and CommWell Health. We were also able to provide Healing Transitions with gifts for over 40 children using our prepurchased gifts. Thank you!!! The St. Nicholas Ministry
This weekend (November 20th & 21st) we will be picking up and distributing 50 dry goods boxes, 50 produce boxes, and….. 50 TURKEYS!! I know our recipients will really enjoy these for the holiday. These are big guys, 20-30 pounds each. These need to get picked up at 9:45 on Saturday morning. Also seeking a few volunteers to go to the Kirk on FRIDAY at about 4 pm to pick up the produce boxes and the dry goods boxes. Continue reading for more….
