Dear Church Families,
Blessings to you all this Friday!
As you and your children adjust to the flow of the school year that is still not quite normal, the clergy want to remind you that St. Paul’s is here for you. We’re continuing to hold Sunday formation activities for children that are all in accordance with CDC and Diocesan guidelines. And we’re keeping you and your children in our prayers.
Outdoor, in-person formation:
We’re excited to continue with Outdoor Children’s Chapel this Sunday during the 9:00 AM service! Ms. Sherri will be teaching about the Tower of Babel. During the procession, children will follow the cross down the side aisles, out the side rear door of the sanctuary into the courtyard. Children will return to the service during the announcements. We ask all children participating to keep their masks on, even while outdoors. Please register in advance for these upcoming events here.
After the 9 AM service during the coffee hour, children of all ages are invited to gather for outdoor stories and snacks with Mother Alice. Meet between the courtyard and the Kids Club.
Worship this Sunday: There are two ways to join St. Paul’s this week, in person and virtual.
- In-person services: In-person services are held Sundays at 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM. You may pre-register here or sign in when you arrive. We encourage pre-registration because it allows for easier physical distancing at the door.
- Live stream: You can also live stream our Sunday 9:00 AM service. You do not need a Facebook account to use this link.
Apply now: Children’s Ministry Coordinator: St. Paul’s is seeking to hire a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator. The Children’s Ministry Coordinator provides support and coordination for the Children’s Ministry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The program serves children (ages 3 through 5th grade) and includes a Sunday School curriculum, weekly Children ’s Chapel, Christmas Pageant, Pre-Episcopal Youth Community (Pre-EYC) Program, and various special events. This position reports directly to the Associate Rector. Read more about this opportunity on our website.
Apply now: Volunteers: We’re seeking volunteers to teach formation, both online and in-person. Please contact Mother Alice if you’re interested in teaching a short lesson and providing snacks for the children following the 9 AM service.
Save the dates:
11:15 AM Service Returns (October 10): On Sunday, October 10, our 11:15 AM Service will return, which means that there will be three opportunities to worship in-person on Sunday (7:30, 9:00, and 11:15 AM). For those who would rather attend online, we will continue to livestream the 9:00 AM service.
Blessing of the Animals (October 10): In addition to our return to the 11:15 AM service on October 10, we will host our yearly Blessing of the Animals at 1:00 PM in the Courtyard. Mark your calendars – and while you’re at it, feel free to share your pet photos with us!
