What’s Happening in Children’s Ministries (Apr 14, 2019)

A Dorcas Birthday Box is a collection of birthday supplies to host a simple birthday party for 8-10 guests, for children ages 2-10. The Boxes are available to families in the Dorcas Food Pantry. Pre-EYC had hoped to fill 4 Dorcas Birthday boxes, but with your generous donations we find ourselves close to being able to fill 12 Birthday Boxes-which is very exciting! We just need a little help with a couple more birthday items. If you are able to donate a birthday item, please click on this link and sign up for the last couple of birthday needs: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094da4a623a4f58-dorcas Some examples of needed donations include a container of icing or a package of napkins, so please take a look and see if you are able to help. Donations need to be brought to church this Sunday (4/7) and dropped off in my office by 10 a.m. Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and that I will see you on Sunday.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
