Emergency Meals for Children

ST. PAUL’S JOINS EFFORT TO FEED HUNGRY KIDS IN CARY
and we need your help!

Update Sep 1, 2020:  Dear Food Security Supporters: We are moving to a different model of distribution.

  • We will no longer be distributing the Boston Market meals but instead will (hopefully) be distributing produce and shelf-stable groceries.  That is still being worked out.
  • Also, we will not be distributing three days a week but instead will be doing two Saturdays a month.

Since the items to be distributed are still in-the-works, I am advised just to plan on loading two pick up truck beds (or the equivalent).  I know that’s not very specific, but we will know more after this weekend.  Click HERE if you want to sign up. Thank you!  Katie Bricio

With schools being closed because of the pandemic, many children are not receiving the meals their families rely on. The Western Wake County Food Security Action Group is delivering EMERGENCY MEALS for children in our area. Churches and non-profits have partnered with Wake County to help get these meals distributed at various sites. St. Paul’s has joined the effort.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
