Dear St. Paul’s,
Just a couple of weeks ago, I sat in a meeting at the church and realized that it has almost been six months since my arrival at St. Paul’s as a newly-ordained deacon. My, how time flies! I am excited for all that is yet to be shared, enjoyed, and explored with you, especially as I live into my call to be a priest in the church.
It is with great joy that I would like to invite you to attend my ordination to the priesthood on Saturday, December 17 at the Phillip’s Chapel of the Canterbury School in Greensboro, NC. Click HERE for the invitation and details. This also a moment of celebration for several other deacons and soon-to-be priests in our diocese. I hope, therefore, that you will rejoice with them too: the ties that bind us together as a church are stronger due to our ability to rejoice with the church at large, not just the spaces we call home.
I look forward to celebrating life with you on that day and thereafter. Thank you for being a loving and welcoming space not just for me, but for all those who walk through our doors.
