Lenten Book Study (Feb 24 – Mar 24, 2021)

During Lent, Adult Formation will offer an opportunity to discuss Bishop Michael Curry’s recent book Love is the Way: Holding onto Hope in Troubling Times. Using a combination of autobiography and spiritual examination, Bishop Curry offers ways to address questions that puzzle us in these trying times. Do I have to love even my enemy? Won’t loving everybody make me a doormat? Does love mean avoiding politics?

Zoom meetings will be offered from Feb 24 through Mar 24, 2021 (5 weeks) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. To register, contact Gerri Batchelor at gerrikairos@gmail.com.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
