Vestry Nominations Needed

As we’ve seen in 2020, the Vestry’s voice is very helpful in guiding the parish through interesting times. It’s a collaborative body, representing the lay people of the parish with many individual and unique talents. It’s a great way to see what goes on in the life of the church and to see things come together each season.

Since it isn’t possible to gather for an Annual Parish Meeting this year, there will be a different process for Vestry nominations and election. Parishioners are asked to send nominations to Mary Kintz (marykintzpt@gmail.com) or Frank Laney (Frank_Laney@ca4.uscourts.gov)  by Friday, November 20. Self-nominations are also welcome.

Once nominations have been received, an acting nominating committee of the Vestry will review the nominees and confirm that they are qualified and willing to serve. After discussion, the Vestry will select the new members by confidential email ballots, submitted to the Clerk and Senior Warden. The newly elected members will serve for three years and will join the Vestry in January 2021.
