Toilet Paper Collection News

We continue to have wonderful parish support for our monthly toilet paper collection.  So far for 2017 we have had 1,538 rolls donated.  Thank you for supporting this effort.  Our next collection will be Sunday May 14. Look for the bins in front of the narthex.

Dorcas Ministries News

Dorcas Ministries is looking for a couple of volunteers for the Training Center.  Ted volunteers in the Training Center so you can get the first hand information from him.   Volunteers are always needed in the Thrift Shop, Pricing, or Intake.

If you think you would like to volunteer, contact Ellen at efrazier@dorcas-cary.org or call 919-469-9861, ext. 101.  I can provide a paper application or you can apply online for any volunteer position: http://dorcas-cary.org/donate-volunteer/

The Dorcas Thrift Shop is located at 187 High House Road in Cary.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more about Dorcas Ministry, contact me at nfierke@bellsouth.net or call me at 919-467-8807.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
