Heifer: Online “Living Gift Market” for 2021

This online “Living Gift Market” offers St. Paul’s members the opportunity to donate to Heifer International as the COVID-19 pandemic continues in 2021. Prior to COVID, St. Paul’s parishioners were invited to donate to Heifer by placing money in a small ark during Sunday morning worship services, in celebration of important people, times, and events in our lives. While we are still unable to gather in person, the opportunity to support Heifer International can continue through this St. Paul’s Heifer webpage:

Heifer International is a non-profit organization whose mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth. With donated funds, Heifer International sends farm animals to individuals and communities around the world, along with the necessary training and resources. Each family receiving an animal agrees to “pass on the gift” and donate the female offspring to another family, so that the cycle of hope, sustainability, and enhanced self-esteem continues. Heifer International has helped over twenty million families in over 125 countries since it began in 1944.

St. Paul’s annual goal is to donate at least $5000, which sends a “Gift Ark” of many pairs of animals wherever they are most needed in the world to fight poverty and hunger. Through Heifer International, “we can change the world, one family, one community, at a time.” Thank you for your generosity in helping others less fortunate than ourselves.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
