Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Celebration (January 17, 2021)

For the second year in a row, Cary congregations participating in the Cary Area Ministerial Alliance (CAMA) will co-host the interfaith prayer service that is part of the Town of Cary’s “Dreamfest” during the weekend of Martin Luther King Day. Set for Sunday, January 17, at 3:30 pm, the service will originate from Christ the King Lutheran Church and will be live streamed on the church’s YouTube channel. Similarly, this year’s guest preacher, Rev. Brenda Smith, will participate from Chicago via video. Music will be provided by a small Gospel ensemble from Pleasant Grove Church of Cary and by Dr. Abraham Cáceres of Worldhousemusic. Also participating will be Dr. Vicki Gallagher with the “virtual MLK experience” which she leads at NC State. Other event sponsors are Beth Shalom Synagogue, the Islamic Association/Cary Mosque, the Town of Cary, and the Triangle Conference of the NC Lutheran Synod. The service can be viewed live on January 17 at 3:30 pm at www.ctkcary.com/dreamfest
