Meals on Wheels: What’s Happening

Our Meals on Wheels Ministry is much more active since the “stay at home” went into effect. The Wake County Board of Commissioners has deemed Meals on Wheels an essential service to the community. Many of our St. Paul’s volunteers who regularly served once each month are now serving every week.

No longer do our teams meet as a group and pack our hot bags and coolers inside Resurrection Lutheran Church. Instead we are met in the church’s parking lot and boxes of meals are loaded directly into our vehicles for us. There used to be six routes, now they are fifteen!

The teams have divided to become individual volunteers to handle the load. We wear masks and gloves and hope…
