ONE WAKE is now the official name for the inter-community, advocacy body that is going to effect change in Wake County, formerly known as Wake County Sponsors!
Along with the selection of this new name, leaders of participating institutions across Wake County on 10/29 and 12/5/18 voted to prioritize THREE issues needing change in our county communities in order to provide:
- Affordable housing for all
- Quality education for all of our children
- Living wages and quality jobs for all!
How are we going to do that? Please save the following dates to find out!
Saturday January 18, 2020 – 10-11.30 a.m. at the Common Thread Church (formerly the North Raleigh Community Church). Join us to learn how to develop effective issue campaigns. During this workshop leaders will learn how to break these big problems down into tangible, winnable issues, and how to develop effective action campaigns to address these issues.
Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 07:30 p.m. at Common Thread Church in Raleigh, NC. During this meeting the Countywide Leaders’ Caucus will be divided into three teams (one for each of the three priorities) and will work, with the help of organizers, to develop clear and shared next steps.
