Refuge for Refugee Welcome Our Eighth Family

The St. Paul’s Refuge for Refugee Committee (R4R) is excited to welcome our EIGHTH family to the United States.  We are next on the list of sponsors with US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) for hosting a refugee family from (hopefully) Afghanistan.  We should be assigned a family any day.  To start sponsoring a family we are requested to fully furnish an apartment for the family before they move in and provide food for their first week here.  (Following that first week, we assist in getting the children registered for school, taking them all to the health department for evaluations and vaccines, getting to their first jobs, etc.)  This is clearly a team effort.  Below is a link to the SignUp Genius which details the items that are needed.

Thank you for any contributions you can make.  We are all grateful.
