Refuge for Refugees Teams up with the Green Chair Project

The Refuge for Refugees (R4R) Ministry at St. Paul’s is working with the Green Chair Project in Raleigh to acquire donations of furniture and household goods. Donations will be used to help outfit homes for R4R refugee families as well as other refugee and homeless families in need. Learn more about items they accept for donation by clicking here. We are excited about this collaboration that will help us get items to people in need more effectively.

If you or someone you know has furniture and/or items to donate, please contact Amy Sigmon, Donations Coordinator at the Green Chair Project, at amy@thegreenchair.org or call 919-322-0475. Please tell them you are associated with St. Paul’s in Cary.

R4R expects to welcome a new family in the next few months. If there are any specific needs other than what Green Chair can provide, we will let you know.

RIGHT NOW, the R4R ministry is in need of the following items:

  • two sewing machines
  • assistance with getting a car/van for a large family (the family has $1000 to spend)

Please contact R4R at refugeforrefugees@stpaulscary.org if you can help with any of these items.
