Help the children pack meals for Stop Hunger Now, May 15. We have wonderful opportunity to help plant “seeds” in the children of our parish by helping them pack meals. As there should be around 100 young children/parents packing meals between 10:15-11:15 AM, we need about 20-30 volunteers help finish packing the 10,000 meals from 11:15-12:15 PM. We could also use a dozen or so strong volunteers for the entire event to help set up and replenish the food ingredients as needed (9:00 AM-12:00 noon shift). The cost of this event is $2944 ($0.29/meal). The children’s ministry is sponsoring this event and has been raising funds through the children’s offering each Sunday as well as the mite boxes – they are almost to their goal!
Any donation to support this event will be most appreciated (if we surpass the goal, funds will be carried over to the next SHN event). Donations can be made at our registration link (click HERE). This ministry is an incredible and very tangible way to reach out beyond our community to help those in dire need. As we continue to be blessed with nourishment each day, we need to continue to help nourish those who are much less fortunate.
