Bishop Anne Hodges-Copple Named Bishop Pro Tem

The diocese has announced that the Rt. Rev. Anne Hodges-Copple has been appointed to serve as Bishop Pro Tem during the time of our diocese’s bishop transition. The full statement is posted on the diocesan website. November 1, 2015 is the working date for Bishop Hodges-Copple to begin serving as Bishop Pro Tem. See video. Bishop Curry Elected Presiding Bishop

Michael Curry, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina, was elected Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church on Saturday June 27, 2015. Bishop Curry will be the Episcopal Church’s first African-American presiding bishop. He will be installed in the position on Nov 1 at the National Cathedral in Washington. Do you like to garden? Have you ever noticed how beautiful St. Paul’s campus is? Want to help keep St. Paul’s courtyard looking its best? Then join Lay Weeders!
We are looking for folks who would like to use their time and talent to keep the weeds at bay in the courtyard and plants looking their best. If you are interested in volunteering an hour or two a month please contact Julia Rudy, jbrudy@yahoo.com

Drivers Needed for Church Services

DRIVERS NEEDED: The Care and Share Team wants your help. Drivers are needed for church transportation for those no longer able to drive. If you are able to commit to helping one Sunday a month, please contact melonie.wigley@att.net. Volunteer drivers work together to resolve schedule conflicts.

Wheels4Hope is a non-profit, faith-based car donation program that turns donated cars into local blessings. Our mission is to provide affordable, reliable transportation to low-wage families and individuals who are referred to us by one of our partner agencies.
