Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mother Alice grew up as a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Brooklyn Heights. She studied studio art at Davidson College, and, after a brief career in art and finance, Alice was sponsored for ordination by St. Titus’ Episcopal Church in Durham and completed her Master’s in Divinity at Duke.
Alice is married to Benjamin Graham, who works for the North Carolina Audubon Society. They have a two-year old daughter, Wendell, and share their home in Durham with one extra-large, floppy dog named Thumper.
