Persevere

On the nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Fr. Javier reflects on the parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge: “with the persistent widow’s example, Jesus shows us what it means to pray always and not lose heart. It means prayer, not only in private, but also in public. It means praying with our words as well as with our actions. It means praying as we steadily, relentlessly pursue, not the world that is, but the world that should be.”
