Weekly Update January 7, 2022: A Letter from the Associate Rector

Dear Friends,
As Fr. George mentioned last week, we will continue to worship virtually on January 9 and 16. In line with diocesan guidance regarding the surge of COVID-19 cases and the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant, we feel that it is best to press pause on indoor church gatherings for now. Read more about how this impacts Sunday worship and formation activities.

Bishops Sam Rodman and Anne Hodges-Copple have issued updated COVID-19 protocols. Currently the positivity rate for COVID-19 is over 7.5% in most of the diocese, and 8% in Wake County. Read George’s Letter

Yesterday we received word from Bishops Rodman and Hodges-Copple with information regarding the Omicron variant and the seriousness of its transmissibility. At this time the diocese has not issued any new mandates but clearly advises parishes to exercise caution regarding in-person worship. Weekly Update October 8, 2021: A Letter from the Rector

Dear Friends,
We have come a long way these last few months at St. Paul’s as we navigate these continuing challenging times of COVID-19. In my numerous conversations with parishioners, in person or by phone or email, there is a common desire to gather, to be together. While some are ready to do that in person, some are telling me they’re not quite ready yet. And I respect each and everyone’s discernment in this. So, this fall I am in awe, once again, of the creativity of staff and ministry leaders as programs move forward in ways that reach out to all parishioners wherever they are right now in their discernment. Weekly Update October 1, 2021: A Letter from the Associate Rector

Friends,
We had a beautiful evening for our last prayer service in the Courtyard this past Wednesday. As we enter the Fall season in earnest – or better said, as earnestly as one can in a place like North Carolina, where “Second Summer” is a season of its own – I am grateful for moments that allow us to pause as we enjoy the beauty of creation and the company of friends and neighbors. This week, I’d like to highlight a few events coming up in October: Confirmation Preparation, this month’s Movie Night with Fr. Javier and Tad, a new Wednesday formation offering entitled Our Indigenous Siblings, and changes to our Sunday schedule on October 10. Read Javier’s Letter
Weekly Update September 24, 2021: A Letter from the Associate Rector

Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. Despite all the stresses of daily life, it is good to remember to be grateful – in the words of that inimitable poet, Mary Oliver – for the “one wild and precious life” we’ve been given. I hope that you are finding time to rest and take care of yourself. I hope that you are enjoying the company of your loved ones. Read Javier’s Letter
