Election Day Prayer Vigil (Nov 3, 2020)

St. Paul’s will hold an election day prayer vigil on November 3, 2020 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the hours that the polls are open. All in the parish are encouraged to pray for our country, our siblings and our leaders. Specific resources from the Book of Common Prayer are curated here and here if you would find them helpful, but please pray whatever is on your heart.

Father Javier will lead morning prayer via Facebook that day at 8:00 a.m. with special intentions around the election.

We are inviting parishioners to sign up to pray on the parish’s behalf for specific 30-minute intervals throughout the day. We are hoping three parishioners will make that commitment in advance here by November 1.

Two individuals per interval will be able to pray in the St. Paul’s sanctuary, if they choose. All COVID protocols will be observed, including masks and social distancing. Please note in the comment section of the sign up if you would like to pray at St. Paul’s or in another location, and please bring your Bible, prayer book or hymnal with you if you would like one.

This has been an overwhelming season. We are grateful for this opportunity to be back in the St. Paul’s sanctuary, even in limited numbers. And we hope that you will be in prayer at whatever point you can on the 3rd. God is with us and hears our prayers in these days and every day.
