I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have begun your preparations for Christmas! We will have Sunday Formation and EYC this week, with our last gathering of the year being next week with our Christmas Party during EYC on Sunday evening. We will gather again in the new year on the 9th of January. I will be creating and sending out new sign up geniuses here in the coming weeks for the new semester and new year.
The Sunday Formation hour (10-11) is going to be inside the youth wing and spread out so each group has enough space to do what they need to. The middle schoolers will be learning from Dan and Allan this week and diving into different biblical themes! High School students will be checking in with Zack and will be going over what they plan on teaching the middle schoolers in the coming weeks.
At EYC (5-7) we will be doing games and an evening prayer service together again this Sunday at 5pm. Dinner will be provided and we will wrap up at 7pm! This week we will be looking at the church calendar and discussing the significance of Advent. I am looking forward to seeing you all this weekend!
Christmas Party: My plan for the Christmas party is to do a fun little yankee swap with the whole community. If you are unsure what a yankee swap is, a little outline can be found here. I really don’t think that anyone should spend more than 15 dollars on a gift for the yankee swap but will leave that up to individual discretion. I would like to urge us all not to only do candy as a gift, and to branch out to something more unique or something that you enjoy and would like to share with someone else! It can be a game, an activity, a book, or a little trinket.
Parent Volunteers: There are a few gaps in the schedule so please do take a moment to see if you can join us! A massive massive thank you to those who have already signed up and who have joined us already! To sign up, please use the link here.
Parent Chefs Sign Up: Having dinner together is one of the most important parts of our weekly gathering evening because it allows us to continue to deepen our relationships with one another. Please add the meal that you are planning as a part of signing up so others are aware and can bring something to compliment it and/or so we do not have the same meal too many weeks in a row. There are a few youth who are vegetarians, so please ensure that there is a meal that they could also enjoy. The community is typically ready to eat at 6:30, so if the meal could arrive slightly before 6:30 so that everything can be set up, that would be wonderful. To sign up, please use the link here. Thank you to all who have helped and to those who will in the future.
Please reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns
