I hope you have had a great week thus far and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I am excited for another wonderful Sunday together and trying out some new activities!
The Sunday Formation hour (10-11) is going to be split between the middle and high school students again. We are also inviting the fourth and fifth graders to join us as well! We will gather outside behind the youth wing and spread out so each group has enough space. This week we are going to be practicing our acolyting as a group in preparation for youth participation in the Sunday service.
If your child would like to acolyte here is the link to sign up for Oct. and Nov.! Saint Paul’s Acolyte signups: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054BACAB2EA5FB6-stpauls6
At EYC (5-7) this week we will be interacting with a number of different important biblical stories! We will be doing games and activities together again this Sunday at 5pm, dinner will be provided, and we will wrap up around 7pm! Thank you to everyone who has been bringing their chairs and water bottles, you have been a great help! I am looking forward to seeing you all again this weekend!
Parents, please take a look at your calendars when you get a chance so you can see when you can join us for community and fellowship. A massive massive thank you to those who have already signed up and who have joined us already! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0845ACA922A02-eycparent
I also wanted to let you know about a Pride Eucharist, Saturday, September 25th at 10 a.m. (this Saturday!) St. Paul’s Youth and their families are invited to join Mother Alice on the lawn of St. Joseph’s Church (1902 West Main St., Durham) to glorify God and make a public witness of our baptismal covenant to seek and serve Christ in all persons, strive for justice and peace, and respect the dignity of every human being. Please bring your own chair if you plan on attending.
Youth Confirmation Preparation is here and will be held in person on Sundays from 10:10 – 11:00 a.m. (October 3, 17, and 24). All in-person gatherings will take place in accordance with local and diocesan pandemic guidelines. Youth who cannot participate in person may attend the adult confirmation sessions but are asked to check in with Mother Alice before doing so. To sign up, please email Mother Alice (firstname.lastname@example.org).
