Youth News (Nov 10, 2019)

November 10, 2019

Dear Parents and Youth,

Last night’s lock in was a really great time. We’ll be transitioning from Harry Potter and into The Chronicles of Narnia as the foundation for our conversations during EYC for the next few weeks. We got a chance to watch it last night, so if you couldn’t join us and need a refresher I suggest watching it some time this week.

ASP CHORE DAY IS THIS UPCOMING SATURDAY! Please sign up if you have not already.

Thank you to those who have stepped up by agreeing to volunteer and bring meals. It really takes significant weight off my shoulders. I want to be able to provide the best experience for the youth, and I truly believe that means having everyone lend a hand in some way. Thank you to those who continue to help week in and week out.

Nextdoor Instructions

Thank you for agreeing to publicize Lobster Fest on Nextdoor. Here are a few things we’re asking:

  1. Please post this as an Event.
  2. Under “Choose Neighbors,” select Yours and Nearby
  3. For Category, choose Festival. Title is “Lobster Fest Cary“.
  4. Cut and paste this description, please:

Lobster Fest Cary brings the fresh taste of Maine lobster right here to Wake County! The lobsters are pulled out of the water, packed in a cooler truck in Maine and driven overnight to Cary. Dine-In and enjoy a social event or Take Out and make your own event – Live Lobster, Cooked Lobster, Lobster Rolls – you decide! Pre-ordering online (lobsterfestcary.org) is a must, as quantities often run out early in the day, and we hate to disappoint Lobster Lovers.
